Pink hive also dead

I’m guessing starving was a possible reason. They never got enough stores saved.

I split the bars evenly across both hives and removed the Langstroth bars.

We’ll see if I can catch some swarms.

Bees are doing well

First orientation flights happened 1.5 weeks ago.  Colony is large, and building quite a bit of comb. Hope they have enough nectar.  The small yellow flowers around the lake seem pretty abundant right now. These bees seem slightly larger than last year's.  Not sure if that's possible.
