 $100 to a friend of Sean Lantz.

No bees 2023.  Whole population of bees seemed low all summer regardless.

Including the top bar hive books.

I kept the suit and the smoker -- maybe I will restart next year with a Langstroth.  or not.

Bees are doing well

First orientation flights happened 1.5 weeks ago.  Colony is large, and building quite a bit of comb. Hope they have enough nectar.  The small yellow flowers around the lake seem pretty abundant right now. These bees seem slightly larger than last year's.  Not sure if that's possible.
