  • Slid a couple bar open off the end.  Look at the nectar!  Woo Hoo!

I have been told the activity shown below, where the bees go back and forth at the entrance is called washboarding.  No one knows why it is done.

Bees are doing well

First orientation flights happened 1.5 weeks ago.  Colony is large, and building quite a bit of comb. Hope they have enough nectar.  The small yellow flowers around the lake seem pretty abundant right now. These bees seem slightly larger than last year's.  Not sure if that's possible.
