Can Hardly Be Out There Because of Mosquitoes


  • They are horrendous.  A swarm is on me instantly.  It is even hard to squat down to look in the window for any amount of time just to see where things are at!
  • Bought a couple microfiber towels and put one in the open side, just to see if I can catch any beetles.

Bees are doing well

First orientation flights happened 1.5 weeks ago.  Colony is large, and building quite a bit of comb. Hope they have enough nectar.  The small yellow flowers around the lake seem pretty abundant right now. These bees seem slightly larger than last year's.  Not sure if that's possible.
