Very hot last week, to cold/normal again


  • Major beards the past few days which were in the record breaking 90's, but back to normal yesterday and last night (48F).  Barely any outside activity.
  • All looks well.  Goldenrod smell has dissipated for the most part.

Bees are doing well

First orientation flights happened 1.5 weeks ago.  Colony is large, and building quite a bit of comb. Hope they have enough nectar.  The small yellow flowers around the lake seem pretty abundant right now. These bees seem slightly larger than last year's.  Not sure if that's possible.
