They sure were active, but smoke keeps them tame. Just amazing how well smoke works.
The hive is now one bar short of the biggest it was at the end of last year. Certainly they will exceed that size.
One bar again at end of brood and one in the honey area. There were a couple bulges on combs here and there at the tops, but whatever. If that's what they want.
