Bee Update

Snowed Saturday, really!

Sunday was low 50s, bees were out, getting pollen.  Did not go in to see if queen was released.  Now going to rain all week, so still not sure when I'll be able to check and get that cage removed.

Bees are doing well

First orientation flights happened 1.5 weeks ago.  Colony is large, and building quite a bit of comb. Hope they have enough nectar.  The small yellow flowers around the lake seem pretty abundant right now. These bees seem slightly larger than last year's.  Not sure if that's possible.
