And the hive just had an afterswarm....

Went up about 30 feet in the neighbor's tree.  Happened to be making a second hive today, so I put that out in Steve's backyard near the tree with lemongrass oil and some comb to try to attract.

Hope the main hive can get queenright again soon!

Bees are doing well

First orientation flights happened 1.5 weeks ago.  Colony is large, and building quite a bit of comb. Hope they have enough nectar.  The small yellow flowers around the lake seem pretty abundant right now. These bees seem slightly larger than last year's.  Not sure if that's possible.
