I assume the last batches from the previous queen are getting old enough to be foragers. Doesn't bode that well going forward for new, but the hive still looks reasonable.
First orientation flights happened 1.5 weeks ago. Colony is large, and building quite a bit of comb. Hope they have enough nectar. The small yellow flowers around the lake seem pretty abundant right now. These bees seem slightly larger than last year's. Not sure if that's possible.
