Went into both hives today...

Moved all honey bars together and removed empties that were still there.  I have little reason to think they are going to make any new comb at this point... hopefully they will just fill out any empty cells they have.

A bit worried about the pink hive having enough honey.  Hopefully they are frugal this winter.

Bees are doing well

First orientation flights happened 1.5 weeks ago.  Colony is large, and building quite a bit of comb. Hope they have enough nectar.  The small yellow flowers around the lake seem pretty abundant right now. These bees seem slightly larger than last year's.  Not sure if that's possible.
