All buttoned up for winter

Limited entrances, and put insulation on top bars and on side of follower.  Did this 3 weeks ago.

Days in the 50s, nights in the 30s.  Pink hive had an orientation flight a couple days ago.

Hope they make it!

Bees are doing well

First orientation flights happened 1.5 weeks ago.  Colony is large, and building quite a bit of comb. Hope they have enough nectar.  The small yellow flowers around the lake seem pretty abundant right now. These bees seem slightly larger than last year's.  Not sure if that's possible.
